Ochi

Ochi was held chained on the side of the road 24 hours a day in the heat and rain. She got paralyzed for life. Our veterinarians have said that Ochi also has a malformation of the femur and tibia bone, which causes her patella to become luxated. Surgery won’t make her walk 100% normally again, but it can improve the leg’s appearance. Each leg would require 3 procedures, costing around €950-€1,000 per leg, with a total cost of over €2,000 for both legs. However, even after surgery, she may not walk fully normally.

In their opinion, Ochi has lived many years like this and still has a good quality of life. She is bright, active, and her blood and biochemistry tests show her organs are in good. Maybe one day we are able to find sponsor for Ochi’s surgery or grow big enough to be able to pay for it ourselves. For now we will focus on other treatments like sterilization, good food, vitamins, and vaccinations.
