Did you know that an unspayed or unneutered street dog can have an overwhelming impact on the population? In just six years, a single dog and its offspring can produce up to 67,000 puppies. Spaying and neutering are essential to preventing this rapid growth and reducing the number of stray dogs in need.
In addition to spaying and neutering, vaccination is equally important for maintaining the health and well-being of dogs. Vaccinations help protect dogs from serious diseases such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus, which are highly contagious and often deadly. By vaccinating street dogs, we not only safeguard their health but also help prevent the spread of diseases to other animals and even humans. Together, spaying, neutering, and vaccination are essential steps in ensuring a healthier and more sustainable dog population.
The cost of spaying a single dog is 450,000 IDR (€27), and the cost of vaccination is 205,000 IDR (€12). While treating street dogs in critical condition, we are currently able to spay and vaccinate one stray dog each week.
We hope to grow and increase the number of dogs we help each week, and you can be part of this effort. If you would like to contribute to the spaying and vaccination of street dogs, please contact us or donate through the link below.
