Brave
We found Brave suffering on the street and took him to the clinic for care. After conducting a cytology test on his wound, we discovered round cells, indicating a tumor. Brave will likely need around seven sessions of chemotherapy, depending on how his body responds to the treatment. Before starting chemotherapy, we’ll also performed blood tests and biochemistry checks to ensure everything is in order.
Brave has a rare form of contagious tumor, similar to Lala’s case.
Here’s his current condition:
His blood chemistry is mostly good, though he is low in albumin and glucose, likely due to malnutrition. His hematology shows high white blood cells (WBC), indicating a severe infection, and low platelets (PLT).
We suspected he has blood parasites, as his platelet count is very low. Tests confirmed he is positive for Ehrlichia.
Brave is currently staying in our shelter, isolated from other animals, and receiving regular chemotherapy. He had a large wound on his chin due to the tumor, but we’re hopeful for his recovery.
